What is Caldwell Cares?

Caldwell Cares has three parts—all built around compassion, community, and support.

1. Hardship Assistance Fund

We’ve established a company-sponsored fund to help employees during times of personal crisis. Financial need must fall in one of these categories:

This fund, with a $1500 per person per year limit, is designed to provide some relief when life throws you a curveball.

2. Employee Contributions & Fundraisers

Want to help others in need? Caldwell Cares makes that easy. At WFUNC events throughout the year, we’ll be providing opportunities for you to help add to the Hardship Assistance Fund.

It’s a chance to come together as a team and support each other—because when one of us hurts, we all feel it.

3. Vacation Time Donation Program

Time is one of the most precious resources we have. If a coworker is facing a major medical issue—such as cancer treatment for themselves or a spouse—they may run out of PTO quickly. Caldwell Cares allows you to donate a portion of your own unused vacation time to help someone in need avoid unpaid leave. It’s a powerful way to give someone peace of mind during a tough journey.

How Do I Apply or Get Involved?

Applying for support—or donating vacation time—is simple. Complete the online request or donation form. All requests are handled confidentially by HR and reviewed promptly. Whether you’re applying for assistance or giving help, your compassion matters.
