Free shipping matters!
Did you know that Caldwell doesn’t add on any kind of freight charge for shipments that are under 12’L, less than 4,000 lbs. and go standard ground within the continental U.S.? That’s right … a 10’L Model 20 ships for free, for instance. It’s a competitive advantage for us, as recently demonstrated by one of Ryan O’Connor’s distributors based in Seattle. Here’s what he said when Ryan explained how our free freight program worked, while he was quoting some RUD items for the company: “Thanks Ryan -- I just shared this with (our) sales staff and purchasing. That is a huge advantage to doing business with you guys.” Want to learn more about how Caldwell helps customers? Caldwell North unveils a new look
The lobby area at the Beloit offices got a new look on Monday, May 5, with the addition of a bold new wall mural designed by Graphic Designer Angelo Manto. The wall is the first thing employees and visitors see when they enter the building and lets them know that Caldwell is … well … the coolest company ever! The 32’W x 10’H image was assembled with 8 vinyl panels and was hung like wallpaper by two installers with Econoprint out of Madison, WI. Econoprint also handled the rest of the building’s signage, including vinyl clings on the front doors, employee and visitor parking signs, and “Caldwell” logos attached to the building itself. “Doug’s goal was to give everyone who walks in the door a positive impression of Caldwell and the people who work here. I think Gelo’s design accomplished THAT in spades,” said Lisa Sympson, Marketing Manager.

Overheard at a third-party weld certification
Caldwell recently completed a massive custom lifting beam that required over 300 hours of welding. The end user needed to perform their own weld certifications and came to Caldwell with a third-party welding inspector to do so. During the April leadership meeting, Business Development Director Jeff Ferchen shared this story: “After the inspection was over, I was talking with the inspector. Now this guy has seen a LOT of interesting projects in his day. At one point, he just said, ‘That was the best welding I think I’ve ever seen.’” Shout out to Dustin Canfield, Master Welder 4.
